Benefits of Timely Trauma Response

Trauma Consultancy Service

At Trauma Services Scotland, we provide a range of specialised services to psychologically support individuals and communities affected by trauma. Fiona MacAulay and Fiona Munro are dedicated professionals committed to delivering high-quality trauma informed management and care. Based on neuroscience and treatment protocols, mental and physical aspects of psychological trauma are addressed to reduce suffering.  This helps not only the individual in the short and long-term, but the organisation to protect employees, provide duty of care, aid productivity and reduce the financial cost .

The nature of trauma, whether it be environmental, ill-health, work place injuries, incidents or fatalities, can psychologically impact upon employees and have business implications. With exposure to trauma incidents, acute stress symptoms can be experienced, with 1 in 3 developing post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). It is important that early intervention, and the right intervention, is offered to ensure recovery.

Both Fiona MacAulay and Fiona Munro are trained in Trauma Risk Management, and Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR) utilising the most up-to-date, evidenced-based strategies to alleviate distress and suffering. Deployment can be to the workplace whether this be onshore, offshore, or potentially offered online in the most isolative of places, where appropriate.

The two Fiona’s are passionate about providing the right trauma intervention when organisations require fast, efficient action. From the first call requiring initial help and guidance, to a full roll out of assessment, intervention, and follow-up, employers have consistently fed back their appreciation for the difference made to their employees.

As a team, they have worked closely together during the pandemic through to current day, ensuring the mental health needs of the workforce are met, and the employees duty of care requirements followed. In turn, this can keep employees in the workforce, maintaining productivity and validating employees with that human touch.

Both Fiona’s originate from a senior nursing background, hold current NMC Registration, and are educated to masters level. They operate their own private clinics, as well as continue their own involvement in corporate projects.

Certification completed in Minimum Industry Safety Training (MIST) and Basic Offshore Safety Induction and Emergency Training (BOSIET)
with CA EBS to allow for offshore travel
